About I was conoeing with my mom when she pointed out this little tree. It was growing on the riverbank close to some rapids. We both knew that when the water rises in the spring, this little tree will not stand a chance and will be washed away. My Mom told me to take a picture of the little tree, so I did as my mother told me. Please enjoy this little tree, as short as it's little life will be.

Very nice Ashley and a great idea to shoot it. Be careful with your predicitions . . . these guys have a strange way of surviving against incredible odds. Since this is a CC image I should point out that (in my opinion) this seems a bit static and would likely have been a much more dynamic shot if it weren't so centered in the composition. Other than that . . . I think it's a great image. :)

Doyle,

I am rooting for it, but come spring it will be under four feet of rushing water. But you're right, they do seem to survive.

Great image and title. The colour and clarity make it so beautiful that I hope it survives against the odds!
