Wow! Bek, this is pretty stunning! Fabulous colours and interesting composition.

Personally, for entry into the Creative Flower project, I'd like to see it a tad sharper. Kelly Duntley did something a little similar, a few months ago. You'll see how nice and sharp her's was.

I am, in no way, being critical - just suggesting - giving a very humble opinion from a rank amateur!

As an abstract, it's great! Well done!

Cheers

Phil

Wow Phil!! Kelly's looks like mosaic tiles and is fantastic. Thanks for the head's-up, always appreciate your input.

Bek

I love the colors here and the ominous appearance of the spines of this cactus. It is amazing how some of the most nasty plants have so much instrinsic beauty.

Good Job, kiddo!

Best Regards, Chuck (<:]

Thankyou Chuck for your comment. Nature sure is amazing in it's contradictions, the other day when I was driving I saw a tree with stunning drapes of flowers from it's branches....and so, thinking I could break off a small branch (these trees were growing wild on the side of a country road) to bring home to photograph, I stopped to pinch a peice. To my delight the flowers had a beautiful scent as I got nearer to the tree...and then as I reached for a low hanging branch I noticed the dirty, great big thorns hidden amongst the flowers!!! Needless to say the flowers are still on the tree!!! LOL
cheers, Bek

Wow Bek...the colors, along with the light/shadow, have produced a very pleasant effect! Great eye girl!
Take care...Robin

rebecca claassen   {K:16443} 10/10/2006
Thankyou again Robin for your great comment, this cactus has very unique looking flowers on a long stalk that I tried getting a decent shot of today as well, but it was too bright, so at some stage I will go back and try again. They are very unusual and pretty.
cheers, Bek :)
