I would turn this image 180 degrees. Just a thought.

Sylvie Fondacci   {K:336} 10/14/2006
Why ?

James Cook   {K:37604} 10/14/2006
Because I'm crazy like that?

Thoughts?

Sylvie Fondacci   {K:336} 10/14/2006
Ok :) but precisely I didn't want to see it as I see it so often in reality (I live close from the cathedral) and in all these postcards ! And what about the pigeon ?

James Cook   {K:37604} 10/15/2006
To me the distortions are enough of an alteration from reality (but I don't live anywhere near it). I turn images over all the time so don't be surprised:

And the pigeon! Haha, yes the pigeon. It is like tripping over a dead body. Pigeons are clinging to humanity and so it is only appropriate that the pigeon should be forced to cling to the world you have created (in this photograph).

One big differnce is that in your original orientation it is a picture of a pigeon which also contains the cathedral. The the other it is a picture of a cathedral which also contains a crazy pigeon.

Ha ha !!! well seen James ! You are funny and inventive. You should try to post at Treklens, the site would need your spirit.

I took a look and on the home page I found an image what I'd invert:

http://www.treklens.com/gallery/North_America/United_States/photo103238.htm

In this orientation the subject is the tap, but turned 180 degrees the subject becomes the line and the drop.

Anyway, I'll consider posting there too. I already show on five sites (but this is the one I concentrate on).

Hi Sylvie,

Like the view a lot. Nice reflection, specially the one behind the pigeon, that adds a lot to the image and makes it a bit mysterious...

Greetz,
Albert
