Very nice color here, and I like the way the light shines through the stones. Very nice composition, and good reflection in the foreground as well.

Ha Gerhard,
I find this one extremely appealing - the combination between vibrant reds and the black surrounding creates a great contrast.
I think I see your intention by off centering the composition vertically, but I don't think the reflection of the "diamonds" is quite strong enough to fill the lower right quadrant to pull it off. IMO, it results in an apparent excessive black area on the left - hope you see what I mean, it's not severe, just a minor unbalanance.
Very nice shot, and well lit! Cool idea!
