Guiseppe, at the first glance on the thumbnail I thought it's a B&W with selective colorization in PS and now I know it's not PS job but still the same but natural and it's beautiful this way. Love this kind of color contrast and natural backgrounds. Cheers, NJ

I tipici geranei..praticamente ogni casa sulle alpi li ha sul balcone o sulla finestra..anche io;)
Bei geranei rossi..che risaltano dal grigio della dura roccia con la quale sono costruite le case..
Un altro bel particolare della vita montana..

Wonderful light and colour Giuseppe. I would prefer a little bit more space at the bottom just to anchor the flower a bit better. Otherwise a great abstract.

Simple and effective. Simplicity that fits the simple life up there, including the fact that this life is not so easy as many would perhaps think.
Nature can be the amboss on which the human is hammered and hardened to a form with character. Like the lasting stones of which those houses are built. And like the delicate flower that grows right in front of it. I find the combination of hard and soft on this photo very expressive both in coloring and in texture.
Giuseppe, why not including a bit of the base of that wall and more of the whole plant in the photo?
Nonetheless a very nice take!

Yes Nick, someone else told me the same right think. The purpuse was to enphasize the big dimentional difference between the little flower and the big square rocks of the wall, but I have exaggereted.

Now I undertand you better, Giuseppe! And I can see this photo with "different eyes"! Just think of that, the difference in dimensions!!! Ha! You had a good idea, indeed!
Apart from the fact that it can get often get hard of course to capture the real existing things in a way that fits our ideas and thoughts, may I ask you if a somewhat taller plant would look more the way you intended? (Like on the very amateurish edited attachment.)
A very interesting thought, Giuseppe! I wish you to find more such subjects for capturing!

Excuse me Nick for my late answer. Surely your version is more correct following to the rules of a good composition, but the flower is grown too much in dimension for me and it has changed the proportions.
