Michael de Wijn   {K:1668} 10/19/2006
Wow... great photo. My eye really follows the ridge of the dune to the people. It is perhaps a little bright in the top left corner...

Ron Wilson   {K:18161} 10/19/2006
wow, Lines colour light. I do love sand shots. You have done a super job. Well composed and I mean this. Sometimes the vastness of these areas makes it difficult to choose a suitable "piece" to compose. You did great. Regards Ron. A large poster of this would go up on my wall for sure. How large is the original file?

Shirley D. Cross   {K:141840} 10/19/2006
Wow, dear Joggie, the people look like fleas! Really does give a sense of the vastness of these beautiful dunes! Well done!:)

Giulio Rotelli   {K:28400} 10/19/2006
The most incredible of this is the human figure presence, that give us the real dimension of this giant dune...
Great one, a perfect Poster...

Joggie van Staden   {K:41275} 10/19/2006
Thanks Ron - It was taken in Raw 2000x3008 pixels, PSD file about 35mb. I have printed these files to A1 size (596x844mm) on canvas without deterioration.

Just plain excellent light, Joggie. Yes, those people do give this the scale, unbelievable. And what is more unbelievable is that it is so huge that they don't even seem to disprupt the ridge on the dune itself.

Great job!

Dave

This is just splendid sand dunes work, excellent angle shot to show light and shadow with a fine selective curves. The persons add a great balance to show a dimensional comparison.

The essence of the photography is to draw with light, just what you have done here. This image is for me of great beauty, the design is perfecty clear, the winding line that cuts light from dark leads to the infinite. The two tiny men are a present of God to you who show so well the beauties of the nature. I thank you for this image that I bring home, of course.
Take care Joggie.

Giuseppe
