About This Red- tailed Hawk has been hunting at Rancho San Antonio per at least 2 months.
Unfortunatelly he waits until is too dark and I did not have my flash when he decided to capture a big rat.

Great shot! Very sharp with good lighting. Good job of catching the hawk with a mouthful! Excellent.

I always love to see these guys digging in to a rat, Its too bad he dosent hunt until dark as its going to get dark even earlier now, but I really like the natural look with him standing in the grass having his meal, those eyes look very intense, HMB is not overloaded with RSH, there is a guy that had a nesting pair on his property and the parents left the two youngsters there, where they hunt his field and live in his tree, I guess until there old enough to expand there horizons, but we can go on his property anytime as he was very talkative and gave me permission....
