very best regards my friend

Michael, great image, outstanding with the backlight. IMO I would burn in the leaves on the right side, two small ones and the large one at the bottom right corner, just to make them less noticable. Just my ideas and opinions.

I like the way you’ve managed to isolate these leaves against a nondescript, dark background. Combined with the backlighting on the subject leaf, it really punches up the interest in this image. I also like Cleveland Smith's idea. This would better isolate that solitary subject leaf and better rivet the viewer's attention on the intricate veining revealed in that leaf by the backlighting. Overall, I like this image. Good work.

Excellent contrast from the glowing leaf to the dark background, Michael! Especially the shining contours and the texture of the leaf are very very nicely captured. Still, the composition is a bit too crowded with all those additional leaves right behing your protagonist. Perhaps some other angle could put them in somewaht better positions?

Best wishes,

Nick
