I stop by to check and what do I see?? This masterpiece! What a great shot (and congrats on the award).
The light and the contrast really make this shot sing and the deep shadows and trees with their colors give this a great sense of depth. Outstanding use of light considering the backlit trees and long shadows . . . just a big Wow my friend!

Kiarang, a very good story you stated here.. I like the strong silhouettes against the somewaht muted colors of the fall foliage in the distance. Good, strong, emotive composition !!
