About During my recent travel in Kerala, a picturesque state situated in Southern India, I visited several religious places as a part of my assignment. As expected, I was denied permission to photograph many of them, especially Hindu temples. But photographing the cathedrals here was a delightful experience. I visited 6-7 of them, and nowhere was I stopped by the authorities of those respective places. They didn’t even interfere into my work by asking me questions, informing me about the place. As the matter of fact they saw through me…!! Just like these nuns walking out of a church after the Sunday prayers.

I myself am a born Hindu, yet have strong reservations about my “professional religion”, and hence find it absurd to see it being encroached by so called Holies.

I like this image very much. The light is very well handled indeed with good contrast and shadows.

Hi Abhijit,

Nice black/white contrast, and I really like the high-key look as well. Wonderful subject - they seem so peaceful...

Regards,
Laura

This is a good one. Good idea to take this in B&W version. Good classic view. ..which match the theme.
