About The second of two very excited Jack Russells. This is Chloe. She understands every thing you say, except "GET DOWN!".

I just point a camera at her, and she behaves. Amazing how that happens sometimes.

Still shooting Ilford Delta 100. Lighting was very low, and mostly ambient from a window in the room behind where I was standing. You sure do miss digital when you're taking pictures of a puppy that won't sit still.

Went for a warmer chemical mix this time, and developed this roll on it's own. scanned the neg in at 16bit, 9600dpi on the new Canon 8600F.

This one is more powerful than the previous one of the series. a very good angle and indeed composition study it has.
using high level of contrast and sharpness makes it more attractive.
bravo my talent friend!

Joel, una foto buenísima. 7
Un contrapicado con el diafragma muy abierto, destacas la expresión del perro desenfocando todo el fondo y creando una textura muy agradable. Fantástica.
Un saludo
kike

Chloe is a cutie; I like this better of the two. Like the POV and the high contrast.
Face a wee bit hot with slight loss of detail in the whites.
Hope she is good around the baby.

Thanks pops!

yeah... *way* too hot. I just put a note ON the camera that says 'expose down'. I'm finding that very fine balance with contrast in the exposure, and how I develop the film. I've been going full solution at 68 degrees, and I may start with going 50/50 w/ the mix, and just let it take longer to develop, but give me more information. (I hope). Shot an entire roll today outside, and i'm still over exposing even more than I thought... so I need to dial it in a bit more. ...almost there, but so much more to learn!

It's funny when you get use to RAW..and all you have is film. Love it.

cheers,
J

Hi Joel! Love the unusual angle ... can´t remember seeing anything like this before. Great shot - I like the off-centered composition, too.
