I am here of course! The floral markets seem to be all the same. This is EXACTLY what I see every saturday, the fair day.
Have a pleasant and serene weekend Nick.

Giuseppe

Beautiful flowers down at the fair. There´s such a lovely atmosphere in such a market where flowers, vegetables and the likes are being sold:-)
Best wishes,
Annemette

Yes, I can see you Giuseppe! ;-)

Perhaps it is the flowers and not the people that create the atmosphere? Who knows! But it's ture, flower markets have something special that is very much the same everywhere.

But this is only a part of a big bazaar market that is in Lucerne on Wednesdays and on Saturdays. And it is just a delight to walk and buy things there, food, photo equipement, flowers, anything you like. Imagine that in the old part of the city at the left and right of the river and all the bridges - wow! I don't want to go away from that place! (But unfortunately the people have to go home some time of the day ;-))

Thank you Giuseppe and have a wonderful and also lazy weekend!

Nick

P.S.: Any interest for a nice UF-meeting considering that bazaar market? You can find old good Hasselblads or Yashikas at such unbelievable low prices there!

Thank you very much, Annemette! This is the flower part of the bazzar market on Wednesdays and Saturdays (and hopefully soon on each day of the week), that I have already talked of.

It started as a small market at the river, with some few farmers selling vegetables and fruits and now more and more people discover the charm of the direct contact, human to human. And more and more tents are there every time, selling whatever you might imagine. A very special place that has so much of the southlands. You don't have enough money for the vegetable? It doesn't matter, you get an extra offer and a carrot! You want to taste some cheese before buying? Here you are! You find some used Hasselblad a bit too expensive? Just talk with the man at the tent. You want to make a joke? Then make a joke and laugh with the people there! Nobody is in a hurry, everybody has time. That's why the big luxurious shops don't like the idea of that bazaar market, but the people in Lucerne have other plans! ;-) That's why I love this town and especially this market!

I have to go there for more photos next Wednesday!

Have a nice weekend,

Nick

Dear Nick
Flowers and plants combined with funny things to sell always seem to make a nice laid-back humourous atmosphere. Wednesday, eh? Then you´re going tomorrow? Be sure to find some nice vegetables!
Best wishes,
Annemette

Yes, tomorrow!

Cross your fingers for me to find, along with the vegetables, a good old dream of a Hasselblad or Mamiya for some few SFr. there! ;-)

Best wishes,

Nick
