Bek, I really like your perspective here. Nice selective colouring too. She's a cutey even when pensive. The light and shadow really adds to the pose and emotion here.

Hiya Jackie, thanks so much for your great comment. It is rare to get a shot of Adelaide when she is not pulling a silly face, so was lucky to get this one.
The orig. had a pink cast to it from her top, I tried adjusting for skin tone etc but nothing looked right as she has such pale skin, I worried that this one looked too 'ashy' but I think it adds to the mood.

I think this is a very beautiful close up. The subdued desaturated (and b&w) colors fit perfectly and give room for thought. The braid is a nice detail, as is the visual pair (the similarity of forms) freckles and leaves. The picture has wonderful clarity as well. Peace of mind. :)
