Beautiful fall capture, Andre! Perfect composition of the birch trunks against that beautiful fall yellow. Well done!
Dave.

Thanks Dave,
As you know, Fall is about the shortest season around here. This kind of colour only lasts a few weeks at most.
We are now left with the drab scenes of November.

Beautifully detailed trunks my friend and I love the gorgeous tones of the surrounding foliage and the fallen leaves. Well done Andre for this lovely Autumnal setting.......I'm still hoping to see some Autumn colours here. There has been very little so far and nothing that got me even half-way to excited:) :) All the very best to you, take care, 'see' you again soon......Ray:)

Andre, there is no birch tree shot that I wouldn't be attracted to. Birch is the one of the most photogenic tree in our climate zone, something that always looks great, looks nostalgic, attractive luring or just a plain neat. Good job, NJ

Hi Andrzej,
You're right, I think Birch trees have extremely photogenic tree trunks. They really stand out well in the fall against the other leaves and in the winter against the evergreens.
I like taking close ups with the entire trunk in the frame, then using the image for a multiple exposure background. They convert well to B&W too.

Thanks Ray,
Surely the trees change colour in the UK too, don't they? Or is it that some years are more colourful than others?
Most of our leaves are off the trees now, with over night temperatures going down to freezing and below most nights.
It won't be long and you will be seeing snow covered landscapes from all your Canadian and American friends :)

Hi there Andre (just in from my long night shift, it's 4pm here) yes of course you are right my friend we can sometimes get the most beautiful ranges of colours in our Autumn but it all depends on the weather conditions. My dear wife tells me that we failed to get any bites of frost at the right time and some sun to turn the leaves. So around my own area there is nothing worth pointing the camera at.....for now. Very best wishes my good friend. I shall catch up on a few other people until dinner is served then stretch my bones and get an early night as I have to be up at just after 5am for my next round of production deadlines.....heyho.....The really bad news is that I have again been invited to work on Thursday, that's 4 on the run now....habit forming. Take care of you Andre, 'see' you soon.....Ray

Hi Ray,
I think the really spectacular colours on the trees in the fall has something to do with the timing of the frost. How long, how cold and when are all factors. We are usually very lucky when it comes to getting that great translucent glow when the sun and leaf colour combine.
200 miles further north, where our cottage is, the leaves don't stay spectacularly bright for very long, but they change to wonderful earth tones (dark orange / red / ochre) before they fall.
