A straight up kitty shot? Shirley, you okay? Feeling okay? Shirley?

Okay, the merits of the photo. The kitty looks good on the marron robe and the maroon and lace makes it look like you shot the cat on the lap of some royal person.... And your focus is perfect!< great clarity.

Excellent "formal" cat portrait. Surroundings make puss very royal and regal. Superb detail.

Love the 'stare'. Nice sharp detail. I might be tempted to clone out the light reflections in its eyes. Well taken. Shirley.

Your about says "A friend's beautiful cat." Uh huh. A friend from which century? Check out that outfit! . . . always something of romantic or fantasy about you -- even without the photoart . . . you put a little bit of 'you' in all your work.
Shirley this is a stunning pet portrait! I can't conceive of any reason to change a thing. There's no WAY I'd clone out the reflection in the eyes . . . and the focal clarity here is top notch!!! Not being familiar with the program you're using . . . I'd caution you not to oversharpen or to sharpen on a different layer and reduce the opacity of that layer.
Still, I stand by what I said about not changing a thing with this . . . it's . . . 'Puuuuuuurrrrr"-fect. LoL! (Couldn't resist-you know me!) . . . Hope all is well with you my friend! 7/7

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~:)
