Truly a beautiful photograph. Very nice composition, excellent colors, and a great capture of the transition from night into day.

Craig, can't believe I haven't seen you work til now... Your land/seascapes are incredible. Are you blending multiple exposures in post? How are you achieving these magnificent colours and light. Silly question from a digi-noob but is it the film? Filters?

Craig Hanson   {K:7794} 11/13/2006
Thank you kindly Rina!

None of my photos are multiple exposures, HDR
or any thing like that. I just use natural light.
As for filters, I often use a circular PL filter
(as in this case) or a graduated neutral density
filter. For film, I always use Fuji Velvia, my favorite, but many of my shots are done with a
digital camera.

In anycase, the most important thing is to wake up early enough to catch the magical morning light.

Rina     {K:26519} 11/13/2006
Pffft... me, waking up early? HA! But yes, you're right and I'm going to have to find a way to drag myself outta bed early enough to catch me one of those sunrises someday ;P

Thanks for the info and the comments on my pics, cheers!
