Thanks Marcus,
I've got a lot of mileage out of this same little group of mushrooms... They just don't get up and fly away like your subjects, so it's a little easier to hunt them down. :)

Estupendo macro, grandes texturas y colores, la luz excelente!
Felicitaciones!

Andre Denis   {K:56377} 11/20/2006
Thanks Alicia,
I'm a little surprised that the second post today is getting a bit more attention than this one.

Uso el traductor y por ello no termino de entender. Dices más atención de mi parte o en general?
Las capturas son espectaculares!
Un saludo, Alicia

Isn't it amazing when you compare this trio to their beginnings and how they change and present themselves for yet another wonderful 'portrait'. Great details and tones to their 'bellies' Andre...Well done to you for continuing to pursue their lives. My very best wishes to you as always my friend.....Ray :)

Hi Alicia,
I mean in general.
Sometimes it is difficult to communicate with the translators.
Thanks
Andre

Thanks Ray,
They are about 10 times the size they were in the first image. I'm hoping for one more shot in the snow.

Thanks very much Leo!
I'm having fun with this series that started a couple of weeks ago.

Well, this one gets my vote Andre. I've been flicking back and forth between the two posts, and I have to say I think this composition totally rocks. You may have more detail of the "belly" (as Ray put it) in the other one, but this has more visual appeal imo.

Most definitely an interesting study...

Cheers,
Rina.

Thanks Rina,
I agree, I've taken several of this little group over the last few weeks and I personally don't get tired of this composition. I'm really leaning towards the pale desat look for this subject. I think this look has staying power when compared with a flashier version of the same image.
Thanks for commenting.

I find this not as good as the previous, Andre. The lamellae of the front mushroom are not as clearly captured, as those of the second one. From the composition's point of view, I also find the previous shots much better, due to their higher overall clarity. The question here seems to be, how to get them all uniformly sharp and at the same time enhance those shining contours of the second one?

Best wishes,

Nick

Andre Denis   {K:56377} 12/12/2006
Hi Nick,
Yes, this is one that I had to take in lower light conditions. So, I decided to go with much less saturation in the presentation. This gives it a completely different look to the rest of the set.

I see! Thank you for the detailed information, Andre!

Nick
