Hi Gerhard,
Nice crop - nicely balanced compsoition. The beachy feel is definitely there. I feel a bit ambiguous about the DOF. Even though a shallow DOF is necessary to create as much depth / distance in the photo as possible to add to the appeal, I think the sea-star (or whatever it's called in English - I'm sure you'll forgive me this Dinglish phrasing) shoudlv'e been sharp all over....
Good photo, though - it tells the strory, and the tones are very nice.
