Beautiful shades of reds against the dark background. Perfect light and the wavy lines of the backdrop add an nice effect to the image.

You have a unique way to see and to photograph...never postcard views...but wonderful 'simple ' views of just the necessary.(Simple is not the right word...I hope you understand what I mean .

ah! this I did not know! so sorry for writing nonsense! (higginson's 'haiku handbook' states november as kannazuki:(( - so he's wrong on this issue. the idea, that in autumn all gods are leaving for a month is very strange to me (and all europeans in christian tradition, too:))

Yutaka Itinose   {K:21347} 11/26/2006
non,non--everyone is right ofcourse you and higginson, but wrong is the use of season, and time difference of the time,basyo,buson,issa--they used "lunar calendar" so about 20-40 days difference with modern solar calendar.in the era of basyou kannazuki but now we call Nov.when we say about old time things(haiku, picture etc) we use lunar one.but for nowaday's thing(photography etc.) we use modern one. in old time all gods gathered and had some congress and party at Izumotaisha--might be--,thanks:):)

domo arigato again!
(nowadays japanese gods take holidays in hawaii or in europe in kannazuki:))

Wonderful autumn color. I love the shadows casted on the other leaves too. Such a calming picture.

I wished the roofs are out of view though.
