About Another piccie from the 1940s weekend at Levisham station in North Yorkshire.

This was the scene for the "German Occupation". What a fantastic group of people and the practice and preparation began very early with role call around 0700am on the day.

Incredible weekend, just a shame that these chaps movement were restricted to this one station.

Roll on next year !

Nice photograph Stephen. I love how you have captured the man thinking, with his head down. Is the door in the photo shut?, cause it looks as though it is a poster on the door. Nice composition.
Regards, Nikki.

Very impressive photo Journalism capture here and at the perfect moment, very great exposure , details and tone

All of the best my friend

Hi Nikki,
The door is actually open and I did use some "dodge" in photoshop to show what was in the waiting room.
I knew it was going to be grainy but rather than use any noise removal I decided to leave it as-is.

Steve

Doing brilliantly at the mo... though time seems to be a restraint :(

I agree... been too long.. think we all need to get together more than once a year. Seems like I've lost touch with so many from the meet since leaving #unable to state name otherwise comment may be barred# :)

Nice to see you posting over here again x

Stephen Bowden   {K:64519} 11/27/2006
I know the feeling, it is good to be back and if it was not so restrictive on this site I would rejoin in a heartbeat and be posting more often.

I'm hoping it will change over time to how it used to be again lol.

Quix Photography   {K:20204} 11/27/2006
To be honest Steve I don't find it restricting on here at all :/ Apart from a few hickups with this new software they installed to pick up bad comments (& yes.. the mention of other #can't name here# competitive sites)

Think I left #the competition# because, unless you're willing to pay, the file size is so ridiculously small that all you get are complaints!

Saying that I did like how if you did not upload all in one day your uploadable amount would be carried forward... still, find 4 a day keeps me out of mischief ;)

Anyway... really nice to see you back... keep posting.. have truly missed you on here x

Excellent! This week's release of cabinet papers from 1947 have taken me back to what for many people is a long forgotten period.
