Leo, my friend, you have done it again, with this simple twig and the sand upon the beach. Good image in all aspects.

Jim Greenfield   {K:5212} 11/27/2006
This is beautiful BUT i think it could use a small amount of cropping on the right so the branch is not so centered. very well seen. sharp too.

That is correct! a very dry twig.

This is wonderful Leo! I love the use of space, and the long composition that pulls your eye either up or down.. it's beautiful!
well done!

cheers my friend!

Such B&W photos are ideal for simple but strong compositions! Even the way the details are captured works towards enhancing the important things, creating that kind of strength that relies on the clarity of the scene. A bit overexposed at the upper right part, though perhaps in this case it is rather an advantage, since it supports the contrast to the dark plant.

Very very well seen and composed, Leo!

Cheers,

Nick

Fabrice Gourbilleau   {K:53288} 11/29/2006
Good angle, great tones and contrast.. in fact this is simplicity.. but really powerful.
Congratulations Leo.

Alicia Popp   {K:83929} 11/30/2006
Qué linda es!!!
La mirada sigue la serpenteante imagen, recostada en la suavidad de la arena!
Felicitaciones!

Kurt LaRue   {K:5067} 11/30/2006
Hi Leo, I really like this photo; it is well titled. Very simple, bold, and graphic, as well as nicely composed within the frame.

This is truly a timeless image. It could have been made a thousand years ago or only yesterday.

Thank you for your kind comments on my photograph, as well.

Best wishes to you, Kurt

Gust@vo Sch3v3rin   {K:121680} 11/30/2006
Muy buena composición, los detalles y texturas son excelente.
Genial trabajo!

Patrizia Patdil   {K:3470} 12/3/2006
The strange thing of this image is the idea of the prospective distortion!

laphael wang   {K:1733} 12/7/2006
Very unique vision, and it will better if used a lower angle~:)

Roger Skinner   {K:63313} 12/8/2006
yeah nice one....

Aaron Doss   {K:115} 12/13/2006
I like the comp a lot but think that it needs more negative space (sand). I feel that if there was more sand and less twig it would emphasize the twig even more, and give the image even more breathing space.

Wanderson Rezende   {K:749} 2/8/2007
Oi Leonardo!
Meu... gostei muito da composição!
Me mostra que é difícil fazer uma foto "minimalista"... hehehe
Tudo de bom

Wanderson
