About This might not be my best photo, but my most spectacular, I think. Or did you ever see a transparent insect?
The reason is, that the chitin sceleton of insects is transparent for infrared light.

Hi Bob,

yes, I got a tip of a german insect photographer, that chitin should be IR transparent ... he wasn't quite shure and told me, that it might be worth a try. Yep, it was worth it :-)
