About Taken only a few hours ago at Desolation Valley close to my home town in the beautiful North Yorkshire moors.

An absolutely bitter cold day but worth the trek.

A shame I do not own a large zoom lens as a pair of red kites where flying over all day !!

This is actually a composition of six ... yes SIX separate photographs stitched together.

Hope you like it !

Well, first of all, it's great to see you posting here again.

This is a lovely scene, and you have captured the soft water movement and colours beautifully. It's also seamlessly stitched - what did you use?

However, I'm not convinced by the angle of the shot (at least, I assume I'm interpreting the perspective as indicated by the sloping horizon correctly...) I'd also be interested to know why you chose to take a shot like this in six separate exposures.

Hi AJ,

Many thanks indeed, yes the camera was level and this waterfall really is quite low down in relation to the skyline and unfortunately, is very awkward to get to to get the prize shot.
I know what you mean, thinking on it may have been better to take another few photos to the right and stitch those as well to give a greater perspective.
On the subject of stitching, I used a combination of Canon Photostitch and manual for a few of them - to be honest, I do enjoy the challenge of stitching. Maybe one day I will get a 12-24mm lens - although if those red kites keep appearing I may go for the 100-400is instead !

I like the way you captured the water movement. If you had not told me I would have had no idea you stitched multiple photos here. Del.

Bless.. can see you & Ade have been hanging out :) Beautiful photo of a gorgeous place.. do love waterfalls.

Fantastic stitch & would not have known if you had not of pointed it out... though after reading your about I looked a bit closer & was able to see a couple of tell tale signs... though only 2 out of 6 is extremely good going :)

Do hope you are keeping well & bright x
