About A few months ago, I uploaded a series of fork images, including two fork collages. I have always wanted to construct a more 'square' collage, after doing the previous rectangular version. Today, I had the time, and the inclination. This is the result.

You will see the previous versions here:

Hey Mate! This really begs a smutty alternate title but nothing really witty springs to mind :-) Great presentation Phillip and your meticulous prep for the shot shows through. Remind me to hire you as a waiter next time I'm planning a silver service dinner :-)
regards, Jonesy

Oh, Graham, knowing you so well, I doubt you'd find in hard to come up with an alternative, smutty name! :))))

Mate, thank you very much for your comments! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave them!

Dear Phil!

I believe this is truly wonderful ART!!!
It has kind of "abstract balance" which is really appealing, and the black and white is very sharp and metallic...

I really love it and think you are very clever!
Fabulous work as always!

Cheers!
Ani :)

Phillip  Minnis    {K:13535} 12/14/2006

Excellent, excellent, excellent Phil... :)

I see you are ready for a four pronged attack, hopefully not from the rear... ~~GRIN~~

Love the idea, 'tis brilliant :)... and a great abstract... The patterns you created, both in single and collage are very eye grabbing (technical term lol)...

Onie...

Someone has to say it... this image has to be subtitled 'for forks' sake'. This is really fine, Phillip. Very well executed...

Hi Phillip. I see your request to have your portfolio removed. I'm curious as to why. I'm curious to see if it's because your as disilusioned as i am about this site and the clickynes of it. I joined to get help and tips but people aren't that interestes in saying much more than nice photo. Anyway great photo's - marbe see you on another site somewhere.
Greg

Phillip  Minnis    {K:13535} 2/6/2008
Hey Greg, thanks for your comment.

I'd rather not go into the reasons why I asked to have my portfolio removed. The 'powers that be' took no notice of my request, just as a previous request that I made appeared to be totally ignored by them as well. Consequently, I took the time to remove over 300 of my images, myself.

One thing I would say is that I think this site has the potential to be the best photography site on the internet.

IMHO, anyone who operates a site on the internet, and invites/provides people with the opportunity to become a member of that site, should care about, and listen to, their ideas, suggestions, concerns, and, at times, grievances. I don't think the owner has a duty to take any notice of these, however, to me, it would be just courtesy to provide those members with, at least, some kind of recognition that they had been heard - especially members who donate their hard-earned money to the site. I'm not necessarily referring to this site, but any internet site that fits into this category.

Once again, IMHO, if the members are not listened to, a site could eventually loose many of its devoted and quality members, and become just a mediocre and unexciting site, or it could risk just fading away into oblivion.

I would, certainly, never wish this site these kinds of fate, however, once again, IMHO, the operators should be ever mindful that it could happen.

I intend to keep my award winning images on the site, and I may well decide to upload, again, at some point in the future, however, at present, I don't feel inclined to do so. I'm still a regular visitor to the site and, occasionally, I spend quite some time going through pages of recent uploads. :)

Once again, thanks for your positive comment on my image.

Cheers

Phil
