Paul...can't believe no-one has commented on this yet; I really like it a lot. I like her hair being sunlight like that and that you've got her in front of the window without blowing it out. Just an excellent exposure all the way around!

Yeah, well, as you know...the amount of comments on Usefilm has withered.

thanks for yours, Rob.

Hi Paul,
Great lighting and background. I like the way the window frames the model. Nice soft look to the skin.
Chris

Given the strong backlighting, I decided to emphasize her a bit with a gentle diffusion of her skin.
Thanks!

Such a beautiful portrait with gorgeous lighting Paul..The composition also with the window behind the model, framing her is great..wonderful :)

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 12/18/2006
Thanks, Liz!
hard to believe that she's only 18.

We're shooting again in January, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Vry nice, my friend. Skin looks very soft and great job handling the natural light. So, did you visit 5th or 6th street while you were there?

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 12/19/2006
Nah, Wayne, no need. This shoot was EARLY Sunday morning, so that'd be one DEAD location in Austin that time of week. ;)

We had planned on shooting a couple of the models on the drag, but they both backed out the night before.

Wayne Winsauer   {K:6356} 12/19/2006
Aw, what a shame. I bet you could hve taken some realy sweet shots down there. Some of the old buildings would make some serious backdrops. Well, I guess we cant get'em all. In either case, well done and I hope to see a few more from Austin!

Claude Tenot   {K:9960} 12/19/2006
Ok Paul....i think it's time to make some exchanges....what about a workshop (1 or 2 weeks) with UF fashion photographers...? it can be just great...

Michael Fox   {K:3180} 12/19/2006
Paul -- Great separation by placing your model in front of the window. I also like the separation lighting you achieved on her hair. Very nice, even tones in this image. Great work!

Cheers,
-Mike.
