About The local graveyard on a sunny day- lovely place to walk. A strange thing- the dark cross on the left was not there in reality- only mysteriously appeared in the picture. (And it wasn't me inventing anything this time -honest!) Must be a rational scientific explanantion of course.

Quix Photography   {K:20204} 12/18/2006
I love the trees framing this scene... very well seen Mary.

The dark cross... is it the one I am seeing top left of shot.. where the tree branch passes under the leaves? Very interesting that it stands out so much & fits the theme of this photo so well... guess logic comes down to whether or not we believe in coincidence.

I love the contrast here... between darkness & light... as if we are traveling on the path to enlightenment when our bones are laid under the earth & all before then we find ourselves in the shadows.

Very well seen
Keep well Mary & keep bright x

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 12/18/2006
Yes you're right Sue, it is the dark "cross" on the top left. Great to read your words about it. The idea of a "path to enlightenment" is so positive and poetic- thank-you.

Interesting, Mary! Well, the additional cross is probably more dimensionally correct anyway!

What a very interesting frame!!!The light in the depth suitable to the subject. The whole painting is for me association with the beautiful motive of the two worlds in the art.

Excellent image and a very interesting story re the dark cross, Dear Mary!

I have had similar happen to me, when something so definite was not there "in reality" when i made the shot, and appeared when I had the film processed and saw the proof.

All the very vest to you for the Festive Season and wishing you every happiness and Warm Hugs,
Aniko :)

Very strange indeed. The cross doen't seem to be part of the tree, so it shouldn't be there indeed.

Many thanks for your comments Sam.
