About This young girl from a small village by the banks of the Niger River was very excited to see a digital picture that I had taken of a group of kids ... as she was anxiously wanting to see the image, I snapped one of her reaching up towards me. I love the angle of the "portrait", as well as the way it captured her youth and enthusiasm.

A fine example of how children's photography should be, capturing the spontaneity and joy which is often lacking as we get older. I like the hand gestures in focus. I'd be proud if this were one of my images.

Marc -- Great capture! You can just see the joy and delight of discovery dancing in her young eyes. Love the shallow depth-of-field. Using it, you've managed to place emphasis on the emotion of the moment. Great work and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your recent images posted here.

Cheers,
-Mike.
