This is a lovely Kitty Cat, but wouldn't want to meet him, out any where, excellent black and white.

"Whatcha got there?...let me guess, must be Mel's kitty cat"...the response from Steve when he saw this...LOL!

SOOO striking in b&w...beautiful conversion and composition, the softness surrounding the head enhances the sharp detail of the face. Recognition is in order Ms. Mel!

Hugs...Robin

Thanks for your comment, Partha. I think it works ok in monochrome :)

Ms. Mel Brackstone   {K:6455} 1/3/2007
You will have seen my other kitty cat, I think......lol! They all look the same after awhile, but this one was sitting in the shade waiting to be hand fed by a friend.....and kitty knew it!!! The other one was out in the paddock watching the keeper walk back and forth with a bucket. There's a hint for you, find out what colour buckets they use to feed the big cats, wear khaki and carry said bucket.....the big cat will follow you everywhere, and look directly at you...Otherwise they are usually asleep in the sun :) Thanks for your comment Robin and Steve....lol!

Hugs....Mel

Thanks for your comment, Romy, much appreciated. :)

good capture Mel, though the shot looks a bit blah , as if the gamma is wrong. the whole shot has a grey tinge through it. apart from that the focus and lighting look to be spot on. haven't been to the zoo at Dubbo in a few years, family live an hour and a bit away, i still think it is the best in Australia by far.

You're right, Jason. I processed this before I knew much about black and white conversions. I've had another go and will upload....maybe. Thanks for your comment.
