excellnt shot Leo! The different shades of grey in this shot give it a florescent look that makes it seem that its almost in color. (to me anyway) I find these types of shots depressing mostly because it brings to light the hard life some of these people have lived. But in this instance you've managed to capture this lady's inner glow which tells me that all things withstanding she has internal happiness that all the extraneous elements have never been able to destroy!

Well accomplished, Leonardo. I get the feeling from this photo that this woman has a million sotries. History is written not only on her face but all over her body. Nicely framed with the alcove she is sitting in.

Great shot Leonardo. Not technically speaking but because you have elicited many comments and views. This is what i think is important. You posted a shot that got people to look and think. I'm surprised that many think of sadness or hard life. I guess it is a result of our different cultures and upbringing. I see this old lady and think, happiness in that she has lead a full life, she has seen lots, experienced lots, may have lots of children, grandchildren even great grandchildren. She does not look tired to me. I can even see the smile. You have done a great job presenting her soul to us on usefilm, well done. Regards Ron.

I don't see it as a sad image as many do. There is a certain up-beat element to someone of that age getting out on their own and even managing a smile for the camera.
Too bad about the paper beside her cane. No big deal though.
