Excelent macro work. You explored very well the macro equipament to stay closer to the insect geting this fantastic shot. The DOF was perfect holding the attencion of the viewer to principal subject in the scnee. I'd like to see the rest of the leaf in the right but I don't know if it was possible without sacrifice the focus in the insect. However this is a personal choice and don't decline the beauty of this very good photo.

well, I only used the 75-300IS with a 68mm extension tube set ... no tricks. But before I took this shot I calculated the critical aperture for this setup, which is f11. So a smaller aperture would have been no advantage, because the raising DOF would have been negatively compensated with less sharpness.
