Very film noir. very cool. possibly not her best side, but a good photo.

Paul,

I'm not really sure why you sacrificed the DOF, while shooting with a shutter speed of 1/250 @ f/2.8? I shoot all of my models @ f/5.6, or higher? Nothing in this capture is really in focus, so what's the deal?

I'm not trying to be funny, but I am trying to learn... I shoot race cars at 1/125 @ f/14 and she doesn't look like she is moving that fast to me?

With 1/250 @ f/2.8 you could go around 1/125 @ f/3.5, or 1/60 @ 5.6, or 1/30 @ f/8.0... ect... Maybe even bump the ISO for the best DOF???

The last time, that I asked this question I got the answer of "Because I can", so please don't answer with that lame of a comment regarding this honest inquiry... I just don’t understand it!

Thanks,

Martin

lighting on her scheek is a tad too harsh. The black and white version is better.
