About
Little She was playing on a red soft carpet that, from my perspective, framed her white skin/white dress nicely. I only wish it wasn't located under the house's shadow for colors and contrast'd be stronger, which I prefer. This image is a nice opportunity to explore this lens' bokeh and defocusing capabilities. Shot handheld, at f/2.8. The speed was on aperture priority but I'd guess something around 125. I found this film - Kodak Ultra 400 - to be grainier than previous versions I've used from it. Maybe this is due to how it was stored at the reseller or even to differences in temperatures when developing, I don't know. The grain isn't viewable at this size but under the original scanned size (20x30cm) it reminds me of grain from 400 ASA film from the 80's. After reducing the size I did a light unsharp mask on her face to compensate the pixels "new order".
