Super capture!

Peter De Rycke   {K:39357} 1/14/2007
Ouch, would not want to have this in my backyard ..

Jan Hoffman   {K:39373} 1/14/2007
Dave - Excellent rendition of this old bag of bones; the sepia was a good idea considering the subject. Not quite road-ready but maybe a reconstruction (better yet: resurrection) is in order. I like this one a lot.
--Best to you, Jan

I wonder what todays trucks will look like when they get this old. Nice angle.

Alicia Popp   {K:83614} 1/15/2007

Thanks, Peter... this was on an abandoned ranch...and the nicest thing there.

Thank you, Jan... You can see there's not much left to work with... the cannibals have been at it. Surprisingly, the horn is still there, though.

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 1/15/2007
Thanks, Don... with today's sheetmetal, I doubt anything modern would last this long...

Gracias, Ms. Alicia!!

You're welcome, Dave!:)

I'm not really into cars but this picture is very well done!!! The sepia tones are great and certianly gives the feel of age. The composition is wonderful as the lines in the old beat up car moves gracefully across the photo. A great great job you have done in portraying this beat up, weathered car.

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 1/16/2007
Thanks, Kelly... not exactly a "chick" photo, huh. :)

Leonie Fitzpatrick   {K:40299} 1/17/2007
Agreeing with all before me Dave... :) Tones, subject and perspective...

So many have just walked away and left all behind them... It's as tho' the old truck has been put up on blocks and forgotten...

By the look of the tyre size... maybe an old wire or wooden spoker???...

Extra nice again Dave...:)

Onie...

Gary Hill   {K:33529} 1/17/2007
Awesome toning and angle of view Dave. With the door open it looks like a getaway car gone wrong!
Regards, Gary

Thank you, Gary!!

Best to you,
Dave

Hello Dave, I'm curious to visit your site, could you give me the adress?
Leo

Oh, good picture and treatment this one!!

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 1/18/2007
Thanks, Leo. My photo site is davearnphot.com but that is really only my private exhibit site for my pictures, most of them here in my portfolio.

The site I mentions, the large one, involves submissions of specialty antique vehicles by any photographer. It is not an "artistic photography" site. In fact, most of the photographers are quite lousy at taking pictures. It is at www.copcar.com and it features over 30,000 photographs (quite small compared to UF).
