Great shot, but they look a bit hazy. Check this out.

You're right Shirley, it needs more work. Unfortunately it was a bit rushed and the focus was on the tree behind. I have blurred the background and sharpened the lorikeets but I guess more is required. Thanks for your thoughts and example.

Thanks Vandi, I thought they were cool too whan I saw them, unfortunately the camera was in my backpack at the time so I was a bit rushed trying to get it ready and didn't do as well as I would have liked.

Best birds in the world!
Have hand a raised a few, they make devoted companions, but they are so noisy! We have a child care centre and once the children get excited the birds get so excited and noisy we can't talk over them.
Our first lorikeet loved to finish off the little containers of stewed fruit that the children left. It would then parade around with the container on its head like an oversized hat. Kept the children in hysterics.
I have been unable to photograph them as clearly as you have, they look much better in their natural state than behind bars. Aren't their colours just devine? CC

Thanks for your comments and story Cathy, we've had a few types of birds as pets over the years but never lorikeets.
