Hi Meg,

This is a really great macro! It can be really difficult to get a shot like this, but you've managed to freeze the bee in motion, and there is good sharpness as well. Nicely done!

Laura

Excellent macro with amazing sharpness!Did you shoot this on the supermacro option of the G6?I find it a brilliant little camera for almost every situation, what asa do you normally use?Bye the way,I see you are thinking of coming over to live in Alora, have you considered Antequera,it's bigger and there's a lot more happening here!Whatever, good luck with your plans.
Best Wishes, Tony.

Hi Tony and thank you.

Yes I took this on the super macro setting, it’s amazing how close you can get.

Hopefully the move to Alora will be in late summer, haven’t bought a house yet but I have fallen in love with one so fingers crossed.
I know what your saying about Antequera and it’s a nice place, but having lived in town all my life I’m quite looking forward to small and quiet.
We have been going to the area for twenty five years now and have been doing a process of elimination on where we wanted to settle, it keeps on coming back to Alora.
Not only do we love the place, it has good transport links (especially now the new AVE is about to open), when we can no longer drive we will still be able to visit our family on the coast.
How long have you lived there, and do you like the laid back lifestyle?

Tony Smallman   {K:16130} 1/25/2007
I hope you get the house you like! We've been here for over 26 years-running a language school-and although it hasn't been exactly laid back(!)it's been fun. You'll have to get in touch once you're settled in Alora.
Best wishes, Tony.

I'll do that Tony....
Hopefully it will be late summer when we move as my husband retires in June.
We will be staying in our son-in-laws appartment until we buy somewhere, they are not renting it out again so that it will be free for us and we can stay as long as we want. It will make buying a place that much easier and will take the rush out of it all.
I'm hoping then that life will be quite laid back for us, and hopefully I won't need to find a job, I think I can just about cope with that idea!

All the best,
Meg.
