About A wasp taken from as close as i could get with the 105mm Micro Nikkor and the Panagor macro converter (2.75X). The purple background is from a bougainvillea flower.

Thanks Jan - it was taken in my garden at night using a small LED headlamp to assist with the focus. Laid on my back with the nest about 20cm from my face. At night they generally sit fairly still and move slowly if its cool! Regards.
