Dear Patrick
Great title:-) A very moody, but also somehow uplifing streetphotography that clearly points out what you said: That there really is beauty to be found all around us in so many forms. Not just the obvious kind that has a tendency to get dull, but also beauty in an old shoe, cracked bricks, some ugly feet, a warm smile without teeth etc. Itīs all around - we just have to open our perception(hope this is proper English;-))
Take care
Annemette

Thanks, Annemette... I suppose I am drawn to the darker side of things, which accounts for why my photography seems to have limited popular appeal. You see for me, I can get more inspiration from trying to reimagine things that most people would term 'ugly' than from... let me think... a beautiful sunset. If I was to pin down what my photography is about... something I am loathe to do... I would say it concerns my belief that all things have a surface appearance but also an underlying layer of meaning and significance... a layer of legend.
