Wooooww Gerhard,
I really like this view with excellent shallow DOF. Nice idea and good composition. I can image that this idea also challenges to other compositions. Like for example diagonal, other background, selective lightfall and so on.
Perfect minimalistic image. A 7++, Compliments !

Nice DOF, but maybe a tad too shallow, and I think the reflection in the metal of the needle might've been just a tad stronger. The contrast in tones, however, is very nice.
