What great weather we had today. I almost went out to the cliffs myself today to take some images, but was to lazy to go out there.

Great shot with excellent lighting. I think I might has cropped out more of the sky and used more of a panoramic crop on this one.

vanessa shakesheff   {K:64080} 2/5/2007

Jason Hopson   {K:3280} 2/5/2007
Nice view you've captured Doyle. I really like the pastel colours of the sky, and the warmth created by the angle of the sunlight hitting the rock face.
Jason.

Jan Hoffman   {K:39373} 2/5/2007
Doyle - Beautiful scenic that makes me jealous; it is below zero here today with the wind chill.
Very cool that you can just see that small boat in the distance.

Sam Graziano III   {K:14064} 2/6/2007
Doyle, My friend. You have the knack of creating wonderful photographs. I am not one to look at an image and try and find something wrong with it.

The composition of this shot is outstanding and the presentation is spot on. I think IMHO that it lacks a bit of sharpness and a tad bit lacking in the color dept. I took the liberty of trying my hand with it so see if I could get it to pop. Also while working on it I found an area that look as if a bit of healing tool could have been used. I highlighted the area I am refering to.
This is a shot that I would be proud to have framed and hung on my wall. Let me know what you think of what I did.
As always my friend, My Best Regards and Happy shooting.

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 2/8/2007
Okay, nicely done and you get extra points for getting up at 6 AM... nice touch with the boat, did you arrange that??

:)

Pawel Kwasnicki   {K:9573} 2/8/2007
great colors and a lovely view Doyle! and that ship far away where the sea meets the sky! amazing job! best regards, Pawel

AJ Miller   {K:45206} 2/8/2007
I'm not seeing the sunrise colours in this one - it could be my screen, or it could be the fact that I've no idea what sunrises look like ;)

Actually, I rather like the soft colours, and overall I'd rate this as "easy to view" (as they almost say in the wine trade...)

AJ

Brilliant analysis Sam . . . and a good eye.
First - I don't care for the orange cast of the increased saturation. You put it back to ALMOST where it was originally . . . I desaturated a bit! It just felt too unreal (to me). Marlyce is with YOU on this one. Normally I would increase the saturation but I hated that fickin' orange in it. Perhaps it was due in part to the sunrise. Good eye for the spot though . . . it IS an issue. Curious what you think of Riny's pano suggestion. GREAT analysis . . . THANK YOU!

Doyle I <~~~~~

Ok My Brother Doyle, I didn't even realize that I had that sort of typo in there. Oops. Riny, if you read this I am sorry about the typo. That modified hunt and pect system doesn't work all that well. What do you expect from a Red-neck....lmao.

Congrats on all of your awesome up-loads as of late. I haven't had a lot of time to post or even leave a comment. All my best to you and yours Doyle. Happy shooting.

My Best Regards

Sam Graziano III ( the Typoist )!!!
