About Joungar Alatau mountain range, Chinese border area, Eastern Kazakhstan.

It had been hot and sunny Oct. 4th and not easy not find some clean drinking water. Couple days prior, we mixed vodka and scotch in a tent under a foot of snow, same area.

I like the info you provide - very interesting, Konstantin:-) I can only imagine how it must feel riding in such an area. I´ve been riding on my own in Greenland which was an awesome experience among cliffs, waterfalls and the glimpse of icebergs in the fjord.
Take care
Annemette

Hello, Annemette,

One day, in the evening, with the sun setting in the west directly behind us in the tunnel-like and rather narrow valley, the four riders, the whole valley, the sky, the mountains slopes were flooded by the orange light. I was stunned, didn't even want to take out the camera. It had seemed futile to try register the majestic orange. To what purpose? The only object I saw was the guide riding a horse in the front bathed in orange. Everything was orange. Everything. That was a moment of bliss.

This picture was taken a week and half later, though.

Best regards,
kontantin

I know what you mean. Some moments are too precious to be interrupted by camerasettings.
Have a nice weekend
