Hey there Cathy, thanks again for your time looking and kind words,
cheers, Bek :^)

Jan Hoffman   {K:39331} 2/11/2007
Bek -- Outstanding; lots of drama and emotion comes through on this. The grain is perfect to the way you handled the contrast and the lighting. The hint of the subjects upward stare and the angle of view are really good.
--Best to you, Jan

Meg Metcalfe   {K:5880} 2/11/2007
Very moody and quite sensual in a strange sort of way, don't know if that makes any sense. :)

Shirley D. Cross   {K:140938} 2/12/2007
I know what Meg means...you have a very sexy-looking hubby, and I love this dark grainy portrait, Bek!:)

Liz Wallis   {K:25505} 2/12/2007
Ohhh yeah...this is excellent Bek...the grain, and the mood are perfect...a fantastic portrait

rebecca claassen   {K:16416} 2/20/2007
Aw thanks so much Jan. These turned out better than expected as I forgot to adjust the ISO and had to add the grain as a cover-up, but I'm glad that was how this came about as it may have ended up a little flat and not have that emotional angle to it.
Thanks as always for your fantastic comment,
cheers, Bek

rebecca claassen   {K:16416} 2/20/2007
Hi there Meg, no, no, it makes complete sense to me too!! LOL
I think the light and grain, plus the bare chest and moody feel make it so.
Thanks so much for your great comment, it made Doug smile :^)
cheers, Bek

rebecca claassen   {K:16416} 2/20/2007
He is a bit hunky Shirley, even he was quite happy with these shots and obviously woman the world over thinking he's 'a bit of alright' LOLOLOL
cheers and thanks again,
Bek

rebecca claassen   {K:16416} 2/20/2007
Thanks so much Liz, the grain was a cover up for a maladjusted ISO setting, but am happy I am a doofus, as it does wonders for the feel of the shot...LOL!
cheers, Bek

Shirley D. Cross   {K:140938} 2/20/2007
You betcha, Bek!:)

Meg Metcalfe   {K:5880} 2/20/2007
Very hunky and quite the Usefilm pin-up! I vote we have more of the delicious Doug. :)

rebecca claassen   {K:16416} 2/21/2007
Oh Meg, darling, delicious Doug will be chuffed...but reluctant I think. He is worse than the kids when I get the camera out, I have to bribe him in innapropriate ways to get him to sit for me!!! ;^)

I’m very jealous! LOL! ;)

Jordi Codina   {K:1655} 2/23/2007
Nice portrait, the grain effect adds some mood to this shot. Congrats!

Jonathan Charles   {K:5006} 8/24/2008
Excellent theatrical portrait - as often happens the technical "problems" contribute to making a striking and unusual image.

Best wishes, Jonathan
