Very nice shot Annemette, The deep green is very nice, the long waterfall and clouds or mist on the top of the hills add interest. The rock outcropping in the foreground anchors the shot nicely. Excellent composition.

Thank you very much. Itīs such a pleasure going to such remote islands and experience the wild beauty in such places. The population is very kind and also quite religious living from the sea and feeling the elements roar sensing nature as the strongest force.
Also a conservative place to live without doubt. These islands belong to Denmark and there has been huge problems with local laws giving people the right to torment homosexuals. Just awful and so opposite to the Danish standards considering it was the first country where homosexuals could get married.
Fortunately a majority voted against this law recently although many were opposed to it.
Okay enough info!

Very interesting Annemette, I don't believe this is the first time I've ever heard of this island. People living in isolation often behave in this manner. They feel threatened by the outside world and fear change. This is what makes this forum so great. People from all over the world telling their stories in pictures and words. Thanks for sharing.

Yes that is very characteristic of small societies being isolated, and youīre right. Itīs so special seing photos from all over the world, sharing experiences and thoughts and also making good friends.
