Wonderful sky texture, nice compositon, love, asim

Robin Wickenkamp   {K:16430} 2/19/2007
Such harsh conditions you live in...gorgeous landscapes, warm weather, and the ocean so near, how do you manage to drag yourself out of bed every morning? ;)

Love the fisheye, the tones, the drama...I have only one little nit-pick, there are a couple of dark spots in the sky I find a tad distracting. Being the helpful soul that I am, I have circled the offending spots and attached a copy. Other than that, it is beautiful! Wonderful view you have shared with us Doyle.

Take care...Robin

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55404} 2/19/2007

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99842} 3/4/2007
Thanks Robert . . . I usually like to correct fisheye distortion but liked this one (oddly enough) without the correction.

Leora Long   {K:10114} 3/4/2007
I share your enthusiasm for the California weather and note the spectacular sky and clouds, swirling around the sun.

Sadly, I do not see the Pacific Ocean. It must be hidden in the clouds or beyond the hills, too far away when viewed through a fisheye.

Great moment, Leora

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99842} 3/4/2007
Absolutely right Leora . . . though I have posted other shots from the same time and place that do dhow it. Limits of the lens. Here the goal was to capture the sky!

Doyle I <~~~~~

No need to apologize, it's a very good photo. The distortion works, it evokes a feeling. goooood job!

Tim  Schumm   {K:27168} 3/14/2007
WOW, way to use the fisheye. This is very effective in creating an amazingly emotional visage with all the movement captured.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99842} 3/14/2007
Hey thanks very much Tim!! :)
