I am stunned! Simply stunned! Between an endless palette of "oh so wonderful flowers" that is posted on a daily schedule here, we have at last something that rocks! Strange, almost threatening perspective, grain, symbolism of the incomprehensible - and all that on a simple capture of a simple real world scene!

The street could be a river or a even a sea, the waves of which crash on the isle with the cross.
The isle with the cross could be an announcement of something that *will* happen, when the spectator arrives at the church (?) at the depth! And so the depth evolves to some kind on unexplanable translation - a mapping of time onto space!

It is not an easy job to obtain that power of symbolism but you did that perfectly here, Gonçalo! I already can count four different levels of interpretation that intermix mysteriously with each other! Suggestive photography at its best and a thick round 7!

Hat off!

Nick
