About Niagara Falls is one of my favorite spots and this is just about my favorite spots at the falls - on the Canadian side, just where the water breaks over the edge. I think the falls are especially beautiful in the winter with all the ice formations. I was up there earlier this month and grabbed this shot. In a way it's similar to my Water Power shot but the angle is slightly different. Also, I shot this using a fast shutter and if you look you can see the splashes where the water breaks over. Maybe I've been staring at this picture too long but I swear I can also see a face in the wall of water - to the right of center. Can anyone else see it?

I think this simple yet powerful composition is very effective....a strong shot Jim

Andrzej Pradzynski   {K:21408} 3/13/2007
Jim, interesting shot showing massive dynamics and power of the falls, even if you freeze the move using fast shutter it tumbles through the step and down the wall. Yes, I can see the face too, it maybe a face of one of those daredevils that did not survived the barrel ride. I have some winter shots taken there on different occasions so I feel to be challenged to show something icy of Niagara. I'll try. Cheers, NJ

James Cook   {K:36725} 3/15/2007
Great confusion of motion. That's a lot of horse power over them falls.

Leonie Fitzpatrick   {K:40299} 3/23/2007
Right of centre, just above the break... that one is a frontal looking towards upper right... but there is another... a profile to the right of the first one... A tippy up nose, deep top lip, small chin, chubby cheek with a mole below the eye... Now I've written this without reading anything below...~~GRIN~~... and I'm not going to look for any more LOL...

A great feeling of heavy water and power... :)

Nice work Sir...:)

Onie... ps. can see a partial skull, screaming... right centre top... maybe all the souls who said goodbye to the world at Niagara...

Wow Jim. Powerful and dynamic shot! No . . . not gonna use the kitty's barrel anywhere NEAR here . . . except - if you drink it all - THEN you might go over. Good ad to prevent drinking!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

This one is amazing, It really gives you a sense of movement since the water is going in different directions at the same time.

Nice!

Testing out what it would look like centered differently
