Rick this is really a good capture of the Senegal. A word of advice to you, though . . . IMO if you watched the BG closely . . . you'd have more impact and less distraction. Shoot in front of a sheet or a blind or something uniform to cut down on the distractions. This beauty should be emphasized that way . . . just my thought on how a good shot could be made even better! :)

Detail is great and the focus is firmly on the eye. I agree with Doyle about the background and maybe consider shooting on a natural perch.
