About Thanks for looking and thanks to Maddie, Hayley, Phil and Chris Plumbe for a great day out on Portland yesterday.

Probably not my best image, but when standing here on the very edge of Pulpit rock in the wind and yes a very dull evening you just dont realise how powerfull the sea can be.
Many people have jumped off here never to be seen again or blown off the edge and into the sea.
Just listening to the waves hit the rock face and then being forced into to air is very nerve racking and a site to be seen.
So for me i did not go down to the lower edge this evening as the rock surface has so much green slime on it at the moment that my camera could have gone too.

Regards
Mike

Super moody shot Mike...the action is a real bonus. Looks like potential for getting wet in the least. I wish it was a little bigger though. 650-750 pixels vertical works well for me.

Hi Mike,

powerful photo; a bit small, but very powerful. I enjoyed reading your description; with photography only one of the 5 senses remain; the rest is left to the viewers imagination. The vengeance of nature is as tangible as it gets here...

Cheers,

Hugo
