Hi Steven, gaps between my visits nowadays!!
I am meant to use lots of words...but 'I love it' is all that comes to mind.
This image IS like a painting, a quiet, tranquil one at that.
The original with grains looks fine too, but maybe the grains are too much in full size?

Well composed, great colors, and the fog or mist is the icing on the cake! The photoshop helps. Did you simply try to despeckle, rather than blur?? Just curious. Beautiful beautiful beautiful........

Very nice. Blur worked finr, but I've been using NeatImage to get rid of grain/noise with great effect and lots of control.

Thanks for the recent comments everyone. To Daniel Taylor: this was a fairly extreme crop which I believe is related to the heavy grain. I have also found that many of my images that contain fog seem rather soft.
