About I like this image for the atmosphere created on the flower by the sun hurrying to bed and by the coming evening. As to preserve this atmosphere in PP I did not touch the light and all the rest. I wander if the image comunicates this feeling.

The magenta type of the osteospermum family, one of my beloved flowers. Here built its home the spider of my previous upload.

Ciao Giuseppe! I´m not sure whether it transfers the feeling you aimed for. But - nontheless - it´s a most beautiful work. The light on the stem is exquisite and the colour of the flower goes so well with the dark background. A joy to watch!

A creative work where light texture and colour are superb, the dark background helped a lot to figure out the flower perfectly.
splendid floral work

ciao Giuseppe,
lo sfondo scuro è sempre molto elegante, e qui si intona benissimo con i colori del fiore.

A lovely silhouette in this "Queen of the Night" shot!Love the angle you chose for the lady, letting it show the slender stem and the collar of petals, but not full face!Velvety petals, too!
Regards,
Gabriela

The vibrant pair of almost complementary colors turns this one to a magnet for the eyes of the spectator, and its magnetic powers get increased by the presence of the very dark background, and expecially by the tiniest shining "hairs", form which a feeling of an additional light source emerges.

As about communicating a feeling of...???

Yeap! Here we have the first question: How often can some kind of "romantic, mystical, mythical feeling" be communicated until it simply can't communicate anything else than plagiarism? It seems that nature is an endless source of communicating such feelings, but as the amount of top of the art photos increases day by day, it gets more and more difficult to communicate anything at all using such a "romance of a garden".

It is not that such images are not good - not at all! But, as we know, after some thousands of excellent bombastic rock CDs, there came punk and turned the tables - and it did well! ;-) In other words, the permanent wish of inspiration at the sight of a flower does more than expected: It brings an inflation of "flowery feelings" that at some point is simply monotonous, despite the fact the the flower itself and its depiction *are* very beautiful.

So perhaps some completelly new generation of flower photos has to come?

Best flowery wishes,

Nick

This most definately conveys the feeling that you describe. There is the gentle feeling of twilight and the strength of the night. The colour contrasts are beautiful. This is gorgeous.
