Great use of light and brilliant selective coloring. The cat is distinctly vibrant and about to run away from the scene.
Best regards,
bhabesh

Well, this poor sweet cat is dead. She and our little dog were ill at the time of my husband's death, so my Mother had them both put to sleep. I miss them.

Sorry you can't sleep.

Shirley, looking at your pictures seems like you have no problem to alter the image to the state it fits your vision. This is what I like about your presentations here being so very open for interpretation.
Cheers, NJ

Shirley D. Cross   {K:141741} 3/18/2007
Thank you so very much for your kind words, Andrzej!:)

luis pereira   {K:18342} 3/18/2007

Yoshiyuki Tanaka   {K:13580} 3/19/2007
This is real fun, Shirley!!! When I look at the cat's face I cannot help laughing! Most of the times we, humans, do not really consider the feelings of our pets...say, if I were a cat would I like all that cuddling and caressing and touching???Every time and anytime???I love the way you kept the cat in colours to stress its stress!
YT

Shirley D. Cross   {K:141741} 3/19/2007
Thank you so very much, Yoshiyuki! Yes, she was sweet and gentle, but this was just too much! She was a real 'communicator'.:)

stalin ramesh   {K:-1392} 3/19/2007
Kids are so beautiful. Cat givin pose to your camera. Nice idea.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 3/19/2007
Shirley, my friend:
PERFECT expression on the kitty's face! It looks like there's a pink hue (on this monitor) in the cat's white fur - ears, face and paws. Also, there seems to be a slight blue halo where the desaturation doesn't make it all the way to the cat at the cat's back. Minor points I'm sure you can fix if you wish . . . but I gotta' tell you - I LOVE that expression . . . and the creative idea behind the selective desaturation (which I usually don't care for) is just great. I feel like I'm in a separate world . . . the cat's world! Very cool!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
